The International Mapping Festival of Girona (FIMG) is a festival that is open to everyone and which merges Girona’s architectural value with contemporary creation through innovation and the audiovisual arts. An initiative of the City Council of Girona in collaboration with BLOOM.

medialize.it, invited to participate, conceives an Architectural Dressing intervention for the location proposed by the FIMG Organization: the Ajuntament de Girona, the City Court.

From a concept by Pasquale Direse, medialize.it realizes an architectural videoprojection mapping narration exploring the theme of the migration of people, thinking, nature. Canvas of this urban projection is the architecture of the Jutjats Building, symbol of the City: a place full of contradictions, above all the one between freedom and restriction of the freedom.
medialize.it interprets these contrasts exploring the issue of the migrations through a peculiar artistic expression. The Jutjats de Girona becomes this way place to tell. A contempory story narrated by the skin of a building which already gathers a moltitude of stories interconnected by the same space.

MIGRATIONS is a 5 minutes metanarration which explores the contradictions and the contrasts of the contemporary era of the information running at the speed of light. It becomes visible into the chaos and the noise where nothing is more perceivable. Everything blurs into a huge migration.

The slow race of the entropic movement of the nature and the fast development of the human technique.
A short circuit provokes the scattering. Life and death. Noise and chaos. War and codes.
The flight towards new communities collaborating in harmony will discover the peace and the melody of the beauty.
No time for analysis, for reflection, for recognition. Entropy emerges in its madness.
The language looses meaning. Do the images have still anything new to unveil?
